World Book Day 2019
Date: 7th Mar 2019 @ 7:10pm
As usual, World Book Day was a huge success at Plantation Primary today. Under the theme of ‘All Things Magic’, the children participated in a variety of activities (from making potions to designing front covers) all planned to promote our love of reading and to celebrate our favourite book characters.
A huge thank you to all of our children, parents and carers who were involved in the design and creation of such imaginative and wonderful costumes. Every year I am blown away by the effort and dedication that our school shows towards themed days, and this year was no different. I think we may have beaten the world record for the greatest number of Harry Potters in one place at a time!
The best dressed from each class will be awarded with a certificate in assembly tomorrow and the overall winners from KS2, KS1 and EYFS will be awarded with a voucher to spend on their choice of books.
Please browse through the photographs below to see some of our amazing costumes.
Also, don’t forgot to use the £1 book tokens that were given to the children today. Either use the token to claim a free book or use it to discount a full-priced book at most book retailers.
Thanks
Miss Hughes.
