Update 27/4/20 - SPELLING SHED

Spelling Shed logins required to be reset, so for all of the Spelling Shed accounts, the username will remain the same as the one you have been using, but the new password is Welcome123. Please let any other parents know who may not have had the opportunity to see the blog or Twitter.

These resources are from the Knowsley SEND team but they could be useful even if your child is not SEND. Maths

White Rose Maths

White Rose Maths have changed their policy regarding access to work meaning that the resources that were previously free are now part of the premium service. In order to keep consistently learning at home, the school has decided to pay for the resources. However, this means that the only place to access the work is on this class page where we will upload all of the weekly lessons. 

We will also be supplementing this curriculum work with Classroom Secrets resources which you can use to tackle further topics with your child. This will be available below to download.

Classroom Secrets

Each day we will be using the Classroom Secrets resources, which can be found in the files at the bottom of this page. These packs also include some activities from other subjects but we will be using them primarily for English. 

Audible are making children's audiobooks free for the duration of school closures due to COVID-19. Download the Audible app or CLICK HERE.

Science

Please see the 'James Dyson Foundation Science and Engineering experiments' PDF at the bottom of the page. 

You might not have all the resources at home in order to complete some experiments. If this is the case, why not make a prediction on what you think will happen? Then find a video on YouTube where someone does the experiment.

Spelling 

Spelling shed will continue to have our weekly spellings available online. Visit (or click the link) spellingtraining.com to access free online games. Simply insert 10 words from the Year 3 spelling shed words and play games such as hangman, flash card, word searches and much more.


History

Visit www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize for fantastic resources about all our History topics. 


Accelerated Reader

Children can access Accelerated Reader and complete quizzes between the hours of 9am and 3pm.  CLICK HERE for access.


Music

From 2pm every day, RockKidz will be posting music and dance activities on their Youtube channel. RockKidz UK


Art

Author and artist Rob Biddulph will be regularly posting videos showing children how to draw both real and fictitious animals and creatures. CLICK HERE to go to his YouTube channel.
