DRAFT Behaviour Policy

This year we have been working on our school behaviour policy to reflect an updated approach to how we support and build good behaviour in our school. This has led to quite a few changes, seeing us move away from systems such as ‘Good to be Green’, to a more restorative and supportive approach for all our children.

Our behaviour policy is rooted in the latest evidence-based thinking based on positive adult-child relationships that will support all children as they grow and develop. This does not mean that there are not consequences for poor behaviour choices, but this is always supported with reflection and support from the adults in school. We aim to build a clear ‘Plantation Way’ where children will know what our high expectations are and how they can go over and above this. There are several ways the children can be rewarded for good behaviour and the power of the simple things like verbal praise are never overlooked.

You can find a copy of the draft behaviour policy on this page.

We welcome any feedback you have from reading the draft policy. Please send any comments, questions, observations to draftbp@plantationprimary.com .
