Message from the Headteacher

Thank you for visiting our school website.  I hope that our site provides you with both useful information about our school and an insight into what our school is about.

My aims since beginning my career as a teacher are to ensure that every child in my care secures an excellent grasp of the skills that will support them as an adult in the future and help them contribute to our society in a positive way.  As a Head teacher this aim has not changed.  Through a secure grasp of skills in Maths and English plus a broad and balanced learning experience across all subjects our children are valued and nurtured from their first day at Plantation.  With academic learning a safe, happy learning environment is crucial.  To operate such an environment all our children must develop their social skills as importantly as they develop their skills in Reading, Writing and Maths.  It is only through an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect that our children will flourish - this is a priority for me and all the staff at our school and is reflected in our school creed (see attached copy).

I hope our website shows the many things our staff and children accomplish on a daily basis and gives you a sense of the caring, supportive and friendly ethos of our school.

Kind regards

Mr S Hanley, Headteacher
