Enrichment for Everyone
We believe that enrichment should be accessible to every child.
We recognise that children can sometimes face financial, practical or individual barriers to taking part. We therefore work with children and families to reduce these barriers wherever possible.
Particular consideration is given to pupils who may be at greater risk of missing out, including disadvantaged pupils and children with SEND.
Our sporting offer already includes a number of inclusive opportunities, including SEND Boccia, Inclusive Goalball and SEND Learning and Discovery events, helping pupils access experiences that are appropriate, enjoyable and meaningful.
Our previous participation monitoring has shown particularly strong inclusion in KS2, with high proportions of disadvantaged pupils and pupils with SEND accessing enrichment opportunities. It has also helped us identify areas where participation can continue to improve, particularly in KS1.
During 2026/27, we are strengthening the way we track individual participation across clubs, trips, visits and wider enrichment opportunities.
This will help us:
understand which pupils are accessing enrichment
identify children or groups who may be underrepresented
monitor participation across different year groups
support disadvantaged pupils and pupils with SEND
identify where additional encouragement or support may be needed
improve our offer over time
We are also developing opportunities for pupils and parents to help shape the enrichment offer through feedback and pupil voice.
We celebrate children’s participation and achievements through assemblies, newsletters and end-of-year awards. Whether a child has represented the school, performed in front of an audience, tried something new or simply shown the confidence to have a go, we want them to feel proud of their involvement.

These partnerships help us give children access to specialist knowledge, facilities and experiences that extend beyond what we can provide within school alone.
Our enrichment offer will continue to develop throughout the year as we review participation, listen to children and families, build new partnerships and create further opportunities for all pupils.
