Enrichment
At Plantation Primary School, we believe that education is about much more than what happens in the classroom.
Our enrichment offer gives children opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents, build confidence, make memories and experience the wider world around them. We want every child to leave Plantation having taken part in a broad and exciting range of experiences that help them grow academically, socially and personally.
Enrichment supports our Super Values of kindness, honesty, respect and determination, while also helping children develop confidence, resilience, independence and a strong sense of belonging.
Throughout their time at Plantation, children are given opportunities to take part in clubs, educational visits, cultural experiences, sporting events, performances, outdoor learning, pupil leadership, community activities and wider experiences beyond the classroom.
Our approach is shaped by the Department for Education’s Enrichment Benchmarks, which encourage schools to provide a broad, inclusive and purposeful offer for all pupils.
At Plantation, enrichment is not seen as something separate from school life. It is part of how we help children build character, try new things, work with others and develop the skills they need for the future.
Our aim is simple: to give every child opportunities to try something new, discover what they enjoy and create experiences they will remember long after they leave primary school.
