23.11.18- Knowsley Girls Football competition
Date: 22nd Nov 2018 @ 5:45pm
Today, we took a team of 7 Y5/6 girls to Kirby leisure centre to take part in the Knowsley girls football competition. There were 15 achools competing and we were in a group with St Annes and Malvern. We played each team twice, with the top team in the group progressing to the semi finals. The girls did fantastically well, winning 3 out of the 4 games! However, Malvern also won 3 out of 4 and so the top team was decided on goal difference. Unfortunately, Malvern had a goal difference of +6 whilst we had +4, meaning that we didn't progress to the semi finals. Nevertheless, the girls were amazing and did not let the freezing cold weather ruin the afternoon!
We then had an opportunity to take part in a personal best challenge of 'keepy uppys'. All of our girls had a great go, with Beth S achieving 8 and Paige C achieving 14. This score of14 was the best at the competition, meaning that Paige received a medal! Well done Paige and all of the girls for a great afternoon of football.
