A Tribute to Lynne Dyas Wolff

It is with great sadness that we have to share with you the news of the passing of Lynne Dyas Wolff. Lynne was a much valued teacher here at Plantation Primary School for 14 years starting in September 2000. During this time, she dedicated her life to teaching and supporting the children who were lucky enough to be in her class. Lynne was a truly dedicated, hard working and caring member of staff who held high expectations for all her children and wanted only the best for them. She had a love and held great knowledge of science, which she used to capture the children’s imaginations in her lessons.

Lynne was a very professional teacher who took her responsibilities seriously but she also had a great sense of humour, as all staff who worked with her can testify. Unfortunately, after leaving our school in 2014, she fell into ill health and passed away recently. She will be greatly missed at Plantation and our thoughts are with her family especially her husband George and daughter Rhiannon.

In honour of Lynne, we will be renaming our Science Awards in our achievement events ‘The Dr Dyas Wolff Science Award’.
