The boys were very excited for this competition, as it was the next round of the EFC fun festival that we had won at Prescot Soccer Centre. However, we were now playing the winners of all of the first round competitions, so the boys knew that this woiuld be a much tougher test.

The boys made a fantastic start, scoring three quick goals in the first game to create a comfortable lead. However, a sloppy five minutes saw the opposition score two quick goals to create a nervy affair. Up stepped Cayden to settle the nerves with an assured finish and the game ended as a 4-3 win to Plantation.

The second game saw the boys attack well, winning the game 2-0. It was a much better passing performance from the lads, and it showed what they could do if they worked together as a team.

The final match of the group stage saw us fall behind early to a great finish from the opposition's number 9. That shell shocked the boys for a part of the match, However, super star striker Cayden levelled the scores before Joel scored a looping volley to make it three wins out of three in the group stages.

Four teams went through to the next round, with two progressing to the finals at Goodison Park! We were up against a very competitive team, and the game was end to end for the first three quarters of it. Denny made two fantastic saves to keep it level, before Lucas G scored a neat flick to put us 1-0 in front. This calmed the nerves, as we added a second before the final whistle to book our place at Goodison Park!!

Man of the competition: Cayden C

6 goals in 4 games carried the team through some difficult patches and ultimately was the difference between us winning and losing. Well done Cayden!
