Art Week - Chinese Art

Date: 11th Nov 2018 @ 11:01am

During Art Week, Year 6 focused on Chinese art. We all made our own traditional Chinese dragons from salt dough and then painted them using bright colours. Did you know that the Chinese dragon symbolises good fortune and that this legendary creature is formed from nine different animals, including a snake, a fish and a clam? Take a look at some of our models below.

We also studied Chinese artist, Wu Guanzhong, who is widely considered as the founder of modern Chinese painting. We recreated Guanhong’s Winter Sun painting using the App brushed on the Ipads.
