Autumn 1 Handball Intra-school competition

What a fantastic competition we have had! We had 13 teams enter the competition from Upper School and they were placed into two leagues. All of teams played fantastically well, but only two from each group could make it through to the semi-finals!

In group 1, '#GirlPower' (captained by Mia-Rae) finished runner up to 'No. 1' (captained by Adam T) whilst 'Classic 11' (captained by Joel G) finished runners up to 'Handball Sloons' in group 2.

The semi-finals saw the two group winners progress to the final with two emphatic displays. However, the final was a much closer affair, with both teams leading at one point in the match. By the final whistle, the 'Handball Sloons' had just edged out 'No. 1' 6-5 to claim the coveted Plantation Cup and claim the honour of being Autumn 1's champions!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Play Leaders for refereeing the matches during their lunch times. A special mention goes to Ava M and Steven B who have been instrumental to the smooth running of the competition.

I would also like to thank Mr Murphy for his help throughout the entire competition. We would not be able to run competitions like this without him!!
