Summer Term Week 4 - English

Hi everyone,

Here is the English work for the week along with the answers. Please complete one activity each day and keep checking on Twitter to see your friends sharing their work.

Monday - Spellings and Coastal Holidays Reading Comprehension.

Tuesday- Using adjectives (answers are on the file attached).

Wednesday- Label the picture and then write sentences to describe what you can see (don't forget to use adjectives).

Thursday - Writing questions.

e.g. When was the red and white lighthouse built?

Friday - Write a shape poem about the lighthouse. Try to use words which include long letters (descenders) to match the shape of the poem. Can you also try to use the lovely adjectives that you have been using this week?

e.g. Tall, stong tower guiding people to safety.

You could watch this Youtube clip about lighthouses to get a better view. What can you see? How would you describe it?
