The Journey Man visit Lower 6
Date: 15th Nov 2016 @ 9:03pm
We had a special visit from the Journey Man today. The Journey Man has travelled all over the world collecting stories. As part of Black History Month he shared a fascinating story with us about a little, black boy called JaJa, who grew up as a slave in Opobo, Africa. However in one day JaJa went from being a slave to becoming King of his town. His son Prince Warabo came to Liverpool to go to school in Frodsham. Prince Warabo sadly passed away while at school and he is buried at St Laurence Church in Frodsham. We all really enjoyed hearing this true story and learning about some black history that took place near where we live.
