Date: 26th Feb 2017 @ 4:33pm

The main event of this week has been our visit from Paralympic sprinter Lee Whiteley! What an amazing day it was! We started by learning about the Olympic and Paralympic values and how they could relate to our own school values. It was then time for us to complete the circuit activities with Lee and as you can see from the pictures below, they were extremely tiring! Afterwards, we learned about the Olympics, Paralympics and Team GB logos and what they represent, before then using different coloured card to create mosiacs of the logos. Some of our mosiacs will be on our whole school Lee Whiteley display. In the afternoon, we created a fact file about Lee and thought of questions that we could ask him if we got the chance. The final event of the day was a very inspiration assembly with Lee. He talked about how he has battled to overcome the struggles in his life to become one of the best Paralympic sprinters in the world. He also showed us some of his training drills, and some children even got the chance to try them out! Overall, it was an inspirational day for all of us, and we learned about how to  never give up on our dreams!
