Year 3/4 girls intra-school football match

Year 3/4 girls - Plantation Green vs Plantation Red

The game that had everything! From hat-tricks to last minute equalisers, from stoppage time winners to 20 yard screamers! 

In preparation for upcoming tournaments, Miss Charnock's football club were divided into two teams to compete against each other in the very first Y3-4 girls intra-school football game.

The fixutre started off slow, with solid defensive efforts from both teams until Ava Erickson struck a 20 yard curler into the top corner for Plantation Red. 

Plantation Red came out the traps in the second half, with Ava Erickson storming down the left wing and pulling a cross back to Grace Goldsmith who finished to make it 2-0 to Plantation Red.

Abbi Clarke-Hodgson then decided to take the game by the scruff of the neck and bagged a 5 minute hat-trick to make it 3-2 to Plantation Green. It was then Ava Erickson's turn to step on the gas, bagging two stoppage time goals to make it 4-3 to Plantation Red. 

What a fantastically entertaining fixture, well done girls. Good luck to everyone attending the tournaments next half term.

A big thank you to Josh Green from Year 5 who volunteered to referee the fixture, Josh is currently refereeing fixtures of a weekend and controlled the game excellent today.
