Year 5 trip to Asda!

On 11th July, 12 year 5 children had the fantastic opportunity to visit Huyton Asda for the morning, to have a ‘behind the scenes’ tour, as part of our connection with ‘Future First’. When we went, we went through the secret door into the staff area, visited the staff room and had a store tour! We got to visit the warehouse, see the delivery vehicles, have a go in the fridge and even the -18 degrees Celsius freezer! We saw the cell where shoplifters are taken, and we also got to learn some secrets about the store and the history of Asda. The children behaved brilliantly, and after some group problem solving activities, and having our lunch we got on the minibus back to school, the children really enjoyed their morning :)
