Free 'Well Funny Workshops'

Free ‘Well Funny Workshops’

They say laughter is the best medicine, and the ‘Well Funny Workshops’ coming to Knowsley’s libraries will explore why this is true! The sessions focus on improving mental health and wellbeing through humour. Brought to you by The Comedy Trust and led by Sam Avery, this award-wining stand-up comedian uses comedy to help people become happier and healthier.

We know laughing makes us feel good but how much do you really know about the health benefits? The workshops involve discussions around how laughing and humour helps us to connect with others, build relationships, resilience, and adds to our happiness.

Come along to learn what you can get out of having a bit of a sense a humour and a good old giggle, and you’ll leave knowing the importance of humour which can benefit you in everyday life including in the stressful working environment.

These workshops are part of the Great Emerging Marvellous (GEM) Places Initiative which is funded through Arts Council England. These engaging sessions are aimed at adults (over 18's), and those experiencing confidence issues, depression or anxiety can particularly benefit.
