Keeping well - Colds, Flu and Winter Diarrhoea & Vomiting Bug
At this time of year there are always those winter bugs that can affect us. This has affected our attendance recently and we have noted that some children are unwell with cold and flu like symptoms plus children off with upset tummies.
We want our children to attend school to the highest level but we also want to ensure infections are not spread. If your child is suffering from vomiting and/or diarrhoea they must remain off school for 48 hours from the last incident – this is a rule we must enforce and will be present in all schools.
To help you understand how some of these health issues we have attached information below from Public Health England and Knowsley Local Authority.
Many thanks for your support with both school attendance and keeping us all safe.
