Coronavirus message to all parents/carers

Following the updated Government guidance relating to the prevention against Covid-19, we wish to reassure our Parents/Carers that we will continue to follow advice and recommendations from Public Health England and the Government.

There are no plans currently to ‘blanket’ close schools.

However, we are asking that you keep any children with a temperature or new, persistent cough off school for 7 days.  If in doubt, please telephone 111 for advice or access NHS online https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/ . It is vital that you telephone school immediately to enable us to keep track of children who are ‘self-isolating’.

Please be reassured that we are continually taking preventative measures in school and the following measures will be in place from Monday 16th March until further notice.

  • Inter-school sporting events to be postponed/rescheduled.

  • Parents Evening and Meetings to be postponed, this includes the upcoming meeting about Robinwood (information packs will be sent out).

  • School Concerts, including Y3 Easter Performance and Y4 Wider Opps Music Concert, are all postponed.

  • Children should continue to bring in their own labelled water bottle.

  • Unless separate clubs notify us (e.g. recent cancellation of EITC Thursday session ‘Girls Football’) After School Clubs will continue for the time being.

  • Teachers are preparing ‘home learning packs’ in the event of any school closure.

  • Forthcoming Residential Trips to Robinwood and Conwy are being reviewed at present and we will contact those parents directly as we get information

We are continuing to follow advice from the Local Authority and the Government and we would like to thank you for working together with us in this difficult situation.
