Reminder about school reopening measures

Reminder about school reopening measures

Plantation Primary School will continue to support key worker families and vulnerable children only from June 2nd onwards.

The government have advised that schools may reopen for other year groups (Early Years, Year 1 and Year 6) from 1st June if their 5 key measures are met and when schools deem it safe to do so.

To reiterate, we will not open beyond our current children (key worker families and vulnerable children) until notice is given by School.

We have been able to support a regular group of key worker children and vulnerable children since 23rd March and have loved to see them regularly over this period, supporting them and their families.

IMPORTANT – IF YOU ARE A KEY WORKER AND YOUR CHILD HAS NOT YET ATTENDED THE SETTING SINCE 23RD MARCH YOU MUST CONTACT SCHOOL BEFORE NOON, FRIDAY 29TH MAY TO REQUEST A PLACE.  AFTER THIS TIME PLACES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AS WE BEGIN WORK ON PLANNING THE SAFE WIDER OPENING OF SCHOOL TO OTHER YEAR GROUPS.

  • Due to new safer working practices, our capacity will be much reduced.
  • We need to plan to ensure that we know how many children will be attending.
  • This means that we will be strictly adhering to deadlines relating to the request for places.
  • Please ensure you regularly check this website and our Twitter feed @PlantationPS for updates and information – the only places to get the latest information about your school’s reopening.
