  • The school will open at 8.50am and parents/carers MUST accompany their child/children to sign them in.  Staff will be at the entrance to direct you to the correct place.
  • There is no requirement to wear school uniform; however, all other dress codes will still apply - e.g. no jewellery, heels or make up.
  • Children should wear clothing that is suitable for a range of activities, both indoor and outdoor.  Activities will include outdoor work in the school grounds, classroom based activities, sports activities.
  • Children will not be able to change for activities, so please ensure clothing is suitable for all of the above.
  • Part of each day will include time to complete activities in the Home Learning Packs sent out last week.  Please ensure you send your child to school with their whole pack.
  • Knowsley School Meals service is working with schools to provide school meals for those children who are FSM.  Families who are not FSM, please send your child with a packed lunch.  All items in the packed lunch will be returned home, for example, wrappers and uneaten food.  School staff will not handle any food items from the child’s home. Further guidance about school meals can be found in the attached document below.
  • You may wish to send a snack in with your child.  Please ensure this is a healthy snack.
  • Every child must have a water bottle of their own and this must be clearly labelled with their name.
  • The school day will end at 3.15pm.  Parents/carers MUST collect their child/children and sign them out.  Staff will be at the entrance to direct you to the correct pick up point.  Please ensure you are on time for your child.

PLEASE REMEMBER - THIS SERVICE MUST ONLY BE USED IF YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHILDCARE OPTIONS.  SCHOOL PLACES WILL BE REVIEWED ON A DAILY BASIS DUE TO POTENTIAL CHANGES IN STAFFING NUMBERS.  SCHOOL MAY BE FULLY CLOSED AT ANY TIME WHERE STAFF:PUPIL LEVELS CANNOT OPERATE SAFELY.

IMPORTANT - For those children of key workers; parents/carers must provide a letter from their employer clearly stating the name and job role of the key worker.  The letter must also state the crucial role the key worker has in the emergency business contingency plans of their employer.  This must be provided to school no later than noon Wednesday 25th March.  NHS staff will, alternatively, need to provide their NHS ID.  If these cannot be provided, places may be withdrawn.

We hope that all of you are keeping safe and following guidance on social distancing.  We thank all members of our school community for your patience and understanding in these unprecedented times.

Social media can be a negative part of modern life, but in these times it may be the most positive factor in keeping us connected.  Please use it to support each other and overcome isolation.

Take care and we look forward to a time when all our children can safely return to school.
