School Closure Day 1

Thank you to our parents/carers for taking the positive steps of sourcing childcare at home instead of being at school.

This helps everyone because …

  1. It limits the chance of the virus spreading.
  2. It helps keep vital places in school for our key workers in critical roles, such as the NHS, this means they are able to continue with their excellent efforts in this crisis.
  3. It supports our staff here by limiting their contact and managing social distancing as effectively as possible.

Below are two quotes from the DfE Guidance for parents/carers, which states clearly that if your child can be at home then this is the best and safest place for them.

“If children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading. That is why the government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.”

And,

“… many families with a parent or carer working in critical sectors will be able to ensure their child is kept at home. Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be, to limit the chance of the virus spreading.”

Key workers – Please remember that proof of your critical role in this national effort is required by noon Wednesday 25th March.

  • Those in the NHS should bring their NHS ID.
  • Other key workers should bring a letter from your employer stating your name, job role and how you form part of the emergency continuity plan for your employer.

WELL DONE AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WORKING FROM HOME WITH OUR PUPILS.  PLEASE KEEP IN TOUCH VIA SOCIAL MEDIA AND BLOGS TO UPDATE US.
